Many do not choose the traditional cemetery because it does not fit our present day. This project is a gravestone and burial site, which with a strong simplicity, cleansing of religious symbols, and all manner of decoration, forms the frame around and creates a place for reflection and sorrow. The gravestone is round, and the circle is chosen because of its simple closed form as a clue to the life-cycle. The stone is cast in white concrete with a displaced inner circle, which is a low basin for water. This water mirror catches the light, and the entire burial square will appear like a green surface of small wooden beams with luminous sky mirrors encircled by an oval roof shelf.  A spiritual place for reflection.
